If you’re new, welcome.

This is Diary of a Bog Witch. It’s a personal blog where I keep notes about how I live, what I’m working on, and what I’m learning as I go. There isn’t a right way to read it.

I write things down so I can remember them later. Some entries are practical. Some are reflective. Some exist mostly so I can look back and see what was happening at the time.

Most posts fall somewhere around:

  • food, pantry keeping, and preservation
  • gardening, planting, and seasonal work
  • domestic systems that are always in progress
  • slow living and opting out where possible
  • care, labor, limits, and survival
  • ordinary days, written plainly

There’s no posting schedule. Some weeks are quiet. Sometimes I disappear for a while. That’s normal here.

If you like structure, you can start with:

  • the most recent posts, to see what life looks like now
  • the pantry or food categories, if that’s your interest
  • seasonal entries, if you like cyclical projects

If you don’t, the archives work fine.

If you’re coming here from my cottage projects, my videos, or just because you followed a link and ended up in the woods, you’re welcome. This blog is the quieter, more written version of the same life. Less edited. Less explained.

This isn’t a guide or a program. I’m not offering a system you can adopt wholesale. I’m recording one that works for me, as it changes.

You don’t need to read everything. You don’t need to keep up. You’re welcome to take what’s useful and leave the rest.
